All Toscano pizzas use only the best ingredients beginning with Tipo “00” Italian flour mixed at a low speed then permitted to go through a first rise after which the dough is then hand formed into individual balls then put through a second rise for at least 24 hours.
Where American pizzerias use machinery to divide, form, flatten and process their pizza dough as quickly as possible, each Toscano pizza begins with a hand formed dough ball.
American style pizza toppings are usually measured by their volume and not their quality while each Toscano pizza topping is selected by for its flavor, freshness and quality from imported DOP San Marzano tomatoes to fresh Bufala mozzarella -- only fresh, all-natural, non-processed ingredients.
While the typical American style pizza uses cheaper, processed ingredients cooked in gas ovens, we use the more traditional and flavorful fruit/hardwood fire method to make your pizza the best.
